Black and White combination

Who do we remind you of, just a clue: two singers
Tell you what, He is white and i am black
but guess what, We are human beings created in the image of God.
day and night destined to follow Christ
Colour doesn't matter anymore. just a rem: we can't ignore the fact that colours exist
Cause they are there to compliment each other.

Yeepee !!!! i'm back again

Since from Apartheid Musseum i didn't blog, well to keep my fellow friends guessing but now i'm back on track to do the writting part.

Apartheid Musseum what an atmosphere, on the day i had mixed feelings about being around whites, I believe that if the whole information was captured, we woudn't have to be talking about Reconciliation today but only trying to make another hole in the other bucket. Maybe it is by purpose that things comes to light every and anytime so that the cost cannot be to high once again. But as Nathi said, I felt much better or at ease that i am not white. the songs of struggle reminded me of how things used to be, the youth taking matters seriously unlike today.

but later on meal, soccer and rugby and friends made my day
though we had " Long walk to Food".

well i don't know whether these might help especially if we want to adapt some and use in our daily lives

Woman's Day

if your not aware. 9 August it is Women's Day. one of the biggest day in our lives.

Why ?

this day commemorates 9 August 1956 when women participating in a national march petitioned against pass laws (legislation that required African persons to carry a document on them to ‘prove’ that they were allowed to enter a ‘white area’).

Imagine over 20 000 women of all races and ages from every corner of South Africa marching together towards the Union Buildings in Pretoria. On 9 August 1956 these women were marching in protest against the pass laws that proposed even further restrictions on the movements of women.

The Federation of South African Women (Fedsaw) organised the March, led by four women; Helen Joseph, Rahima Moosa, Sophy Williams and Lilian Ngoyi. The leaders delivered petitions to Prime Minister JG Strijdom's office within the Union Buildings. Women throughout the country had put their names to these petitions indicating their anger and frustration at having their freedom of movement restricted by the hated official passes.

To conclude the Women's March the women sang freedom songs such as Nkosi sikeleli Afrika, however, the song that became the anthem of the march was "Wathint' abafazi, Strijdom!"

wathint' abafazi,
wathint' imbokodo,
uza kufa!

[When] you strike the women,
you strike a rock,
you will be crushed [you will die]!

The march was a resounding success and we recognise the bravery of these women who risked arrest, detention and banning by declaring 9 August National Women’s Day.
