A bit of rest
This blog is created at home chilling with mom under the shade after 16 December 2009
after the departure of all friends, and tired experiencing the scotching sun, humid air,
i pulled off the laptop and gave it a thought to rather thank every single soul that God send to come across to make an impact in my life.
As we are heading towards the end this i feel it is rightful to do so to acknowledge the effort that every person added to help to grow this man.
For every frawn, smile, heartaches, headaches, pains of all sorts. we owe it to our self to smile again
we made it.
Would like to praise and thank God for this yr. tell u wat this yr seemed too short, hoping for the longer one a year later
God bless

Re a Leboga
Our former and current Deputy President Kgalema Motlante addressed the people in Limpopo and declared the theme for this year's Heritage day as "Celebrating South African Craft, Our Heritage" and finally qouted one of Don Mattera's poem:
Beautiful mother, beloved Continent,
This is your time, your moment, your century
Etched on the golden scroll of history
Afrika, this is your time,
Your century, your right
Afrikaans arises, unite!
You are the architects of your fate
The victims of self-hate;
Bring enlightment, renewal and dignity
No more "sorrow songs' but anthems of victory
Astound, confound with unconquerable might,"
Well to Trev. thanks again about the tips on how to blog

Chilla nathi !!
Enjoy Heritage Day
"Within a broader social and political context, the day's events…are a powerful agent for promulgating a South African identity, fostering reconciliation and promoting the notion that variety is a national asset as opposed to igniting conflict.
"Heritage has defined as "that which we inherit: the sum total of wild life and scenic parks, sites of scientific or historical importance, national monuments, historic buildings, works of art, literature and music, oral traditions and museum collections together with their documentation."
(former) President Mandela once stated:"When our first democratically-elected government decided to make Heritage Day one of our national days, we did so because we knew that our rich and varied cultural heritage has a profound power to help build our new nation.
We did so knowing that the struggles against the injustice and inequities of the past are part of our national identity; they are part of our culture. We knew that, if indeed our nation has to rise like the proverbial phoenix from the ashes of division and conflict, we had to acknowledge those whose selfless efforts and talents were dedicated to this goal of non-racial democracy."
This is powerful coming from one of the oppressed, these icon had suffered and ready to build the new rainbow nation.

Tatso ya Setswana "Great taste of Setswana"
check this"phudufudu e e thamo telele, ebatwa ke molamu o sa e lebana" and " Nonyane e e mephuphutho mebe e iphatlha ka diphuka e le tsa yona" or anyway i was just simply saying "be careful not to jump into other people's business without their concern or you might suffer the consequences" .
This i've learned over and over and people in Jozi believe this it is just a myth, but tell u what my brothers and sisters this is real. ask for tip or advice so that you may not jump before the gun.

And life goes on.........................
Wow after such a busy weekend, well my soul feel at peace, i had tascle with my heart concerning crossing the boundaries, i had this belief that i won't participate in any goodwill activity as long it is not for my community. After deciding to go to Doulos, this became an eye opener that the are many people out there that needs our love and care. well if you can't be with the one's you love, love the one you with.
kids at doulos have touched my heart,
well the question that i had in mind after saturday is this
why we normally became so ignorant to care for the needy?
The kids at Doulos do they understand that one day their names will be written on the memory stone?, but i was reminded that this can happen to anyone.
although we are not infected, we are all affected by HIV/AIDS
but all in all good experience to be with them.

Cause they are there to compliment each other.

Yeepee !!!! i'm back again
Since from Apartheid Musseum i didn't blog, well to keep my fellow friends guessing but now i'm back on track to do the writting part.
Apartheid Musseum what an atmosphere, on the day i had mixed feelings about being around whites, I believe that if the whole information was captured, we woudn't have to be talking about Reconciliation today but only trying to make another hole in the other bucket. Maybe it is by purpose that things comes to light every and anytime so that the cost cannot be to high once again. But as Nathi said, I felt much better or at ease that i am not white. the songs of struggle reminded me of how things used to be, the youth taking matters seriously unlike today.
but later on meal, soccer and rugby and friends made my day
though we had " Long walk to Food".
well i don't know whether these might help especially if we want to adapt some and use in our daily lives

Woman's Day
if your not aware. 9 August it is Women's Day. one of the biggest day in our lives.
Why ?
this day commemorates 9 August 1956 when women participating in a national march petitioned against pass laws (legislation that required African persons to carry a document on them to ‘prove’ that they were allowed to enter a ‘white area’).
Imagine over 20 000 women of all races and ages from every corner of South Africa marching together towards the Union Buildings in Pretoria. On 9 August 1956 these women were marching in protest against the pass laws that proposed even further restrictions on the movements of women.
The Federation of South African Women (Fedsaw) organised the March, led by four women; Helen Joseph, Rahima Moosa, Sophy Williams and Lilian Ngoyi. The leaders delivered petitions to Prime Minister JG Strijdom's office within the Union Buildings. Women throughout the country had put their names to these petitions indicating their anger and frustration at having their freedom of movement restricted by the hated official passes.
To conclude the Women's March the women sang freedom songs such as Nkosi sikeleli Afrika, however, the song that became the anthem of the march was "Wathint' abafazi, Strijdom!"
wathint' abafazi,
wathint' imbokodo,
uza kufa!
[When] you strike the women,
you strike a rock,
you will be crushed [you will die]!
The march was a resounding success and we recognise the bravery of these women who risked arrest, detention and banning by declaring 9 August National Women’s Day.

"Black Souls in white Skin"
Very insteresting part in this letter
"First the black-white circles
are almost always a creation of white liberals. As a testimony
to their claim of complete identification with the blacks, they
call a few "intelligent and articulate" blacks to "come around
for tea at home", where all present ask each other the same
old hackneyed question "how can we bring about change in
of a liberal he is and the freer he shall feel from the guilt that
harnesses and binds his conscience. Hence he moves
around his white circles - whites-only hotels, beaches,
restaurants and cinemas -with a lighter load, feeling that he
is not like the rest of the others. Yet at the back of his mind is
a constant reminder that he is quite comfortable as things
stand and therefore should not bother about change.
Although he does not vote for the Nats (now that they are in
the majority anyway), he feels quite secure under the
protection offered by the Nats and subconsciously shuns the
idea of a change. This is what demarcates the liberal from
the black world. The liberals view the oppression of blacks
as a problem that has to be solved, an eye sore spoiling an
otherwise beautiful view. From time to time the liberals make
themselves forget about the problem or take their eyes off
the eyesore. On the other hand, in oppression the blacks are
experiencing a situation from which they are unable to
escape at any given moment."
Honestly one would think that Steve is talking about things that are happening in nowadays to us.
